01 Overview

QuickDo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the QuickDo iOS application.

By using QuickDo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

02 Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Voice recordings — Audio you record within the app, stored locally on your device.
• Transcripts — Text generated from your voice, processed on-device via Apple Speech Recognition.
• App preferences — Settings like preferred language and output type, stored locally.
• Purchase information — Handled entirely by Apple via In-App Purchase. We never see your payment details.
• Crash reports — Anonymous diagnostic data if you opt in through iOS settings.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal identifiers unless you voluntarily provide them when contacting us for support.

03 How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used solely to:

• Provide and improve the QuickDo app experience
• Process your voice recordings into transcripts and AI-generated text
• Save your recording history and preferences on your device
• Diagnose bugs and improve app stability (crash reports only)
• Respond to support requests you initiate

We do not use your content for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the service you requested.

04 Information Sharing

We may share limited data only in these circumstances:

• AI processing (opt-in) — If you use AI output features, your transcript text is sent to our server and processed via OpenAI's API. Your audio is never transmitted.
• Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfer — In the event of a merger or acquisition, under the same privacy commitments.

05 Data Storage & Security

All recordings and transcripts are stored locally on your device using iOS standard file storage. We do not maintain a cloud backup of your recordings.

When AI processing is used, transcript text is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and is not retained on our servers after your result is returned.

You can delete all your recordings and data at any time from within the app via Settings → Clear All Recordings.

06 On-Device Processing

This means your voice recordings remain private by default. The only exception is when you explicitly choose to use AI output features (Summary, Email, Tweet, etc.), at which point your transcript — not your audio — is sent for processing.

07 AI & Third-Party Services

QuickDo uses the following third-party services:

• Apple Speech Recognition — On-device transcription. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI API — Used for AI output generation (opt-in only). Transcript text is sent to OpenAI when you request AI processing. OpenAI's data usage policies apply. We use API access, which means your data is not used to train OpenAI models under their current API terms.
• Apple In-App Purchase — Handles all payment processing. We never receive your financial data.

08 Children's Privacy

QuickDo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

09 Your Rights

Since we store data locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access — All your data is visible within the app at all times.
• Deletion — Delete individual recordings or all data via Settings → Clear All Recordings.
• Portability — Transcripts can be copied and exported from within the app.
• Opt-out — You can use QuickDo entirely without AI features, keeping all processing on-device.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via an in-app notice for significant changes.

Continued use of QuickDo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
